Masters greeting - November 2002

My Brother,

I would like to take this time to say thank you to every member of Linwood Lodge, for allowing me to serve as your Worshipful Master for the last two years.
With the Past Masters that have served before me, I had some big shoes to fill and I hope that I have lived up to your expectations.

I would especially like to thank RWB Jim Heller, WB Mike Retherford, WB Ray Woods, WB Tim Skirvin, WB Gary Specht and last, but certainly not least, WB Hiram Shearer; for all your help, knowledge an insight.
I couldn't have done this job without the help of these Past Masters’. Thanks again for everything.

I would like to encourage the newly elected officers of our lodge to come together and work as a team; eleven can accomplish so much more than one. Also remember, my door is always open. So if you need anything, just walk through the threshold.

     In closing, I would like to leave you with a quote from
Harold V. Melchert -
                  "Live your life each day as you would climb a mountain,
                  An occasional glance toward the summit keeps the goal
                  in mind, but many beautiful scenes are to be observed
                  from each new vantage point. Climb slowly, steadily,
                 enjoying each passing moment. The view from the
                 summit will serve as a fitting climax for the journey."

An exciting journey it has been too. I leave as I entered- full of enthusiasm for Masonry & Linwood Lodge.
