Brother, The summer is almost gone and September crept up on us quickly this year. I hope you took the time to relax and enjoy yourself over our brief break. It is time to shake off that dust and get back in the habit of coming to the lodge again. We could always use your support. I want to take the time to thank everyone for the work and effort that you've put in your lodge this year, and it showed once again at the first district awards night, we came home with numerous recognitions, including The President's Award, and proved once again that Linwood is very active within the district. We also had a good time at the picnic and for those who weren't able to make it, you missed out on a great dinner, we had a 250 lb. pig with all the trimmings, we had a live country band, and a fireworks display, and much more. I would like to thank Gerard Lodge for letting us join them for this event. I hope this will continue in the future. In closing I would like to mention our Golf outing on September 8th was a success, everyone had a great time. The food was good, the sun was hot, and the stories large, one golfer finished by the seat of his pants. Also a big thanks to W. B. Mike Retherford for again doing a fabulous job on this event, if you see Mike take the time to thank him for a job well done.
