Brother, Your worshipful master is finishing up another tax season. Such is the job life of a CPA. I must say that this year hasn't been as difficult as some in years gone by, but it is still time-consuming and draining. I very much thank a benevolent boss; may you all be as fortunate as I have been in this regard. Even so, I am very much looking forward to getting back the extra time. Don't forget that next week - April 24th - is Linwood's annual inspection. We will be inspected in the EA degree, and this will also be RWB Gary Cox's last inspection. We should be having a good crowd that night, and, if possible, come on out to represent and support your lodge. We will be serving dinner at approximately 6:00 p.m., and it should be a treat. We will be having barbecue, as well as a turkey, for that evening. Hey, the weather has finally turned, and the barbecue will be a lead-in to the upcoming summer. We are also scheduling two raisings for next month. The officers are very much looking forward to the MM degrees, as these will be our first so far this year. We are having a practice on May 8th, so don't be surprised if WB Ralph McLemore or WB Greg Skinner give you a ring about being on the Fellow Craft team. Please come out and share these two evenings with our soon-to-be master masons. On a similar note, should you know a man desirous of joining the fraternity, please give me or any of the officers a call. We have been talking with several men, but we are hearing the common complaint of time and other commitments. Perhaps it is more challenging these days to belong to and participate in an organization such as ours; perhaps not. I personally believe that it always has been challenging, and the challenge is for a man to aspire to something more than he already has and is. This is a state of heart, however, and perhaps that is what has changed. Please keep our secretary's grandmother in your prayers. She has been quite ill, and the illness has been and on-and-off thing. I understand the stress that WB Retherford is going through, as well as the demands on his emotions, attention and time. May the Great Architect grant you many more years with your grandmother, WB Retherford. I miss mine terribly. Until next month, my brother. " And someday, many years from now, my brethren, may we look back and say: it is one of my fondest memories."And may God bless, Steven D.
