| My
Brother, We are finally coming out of winter, and Linwood Lodge is getting busy. We have passed to the degree of Fellowcraft two brothers in the past two weeks: congratulations to Bros David Bogard and Jeffrey Baer on receiving further light in the Craft. The next few weeks keep us busy, as we will be getting ready for our inspection on April 24th. We will be inspected in the Entered Apprentice degree. This will be the final inspection for RWB Gary Cox, and we are anticipating a large turnout that evening. If possible, please come out that evening, see your friends and help represent your lodge. We will be having a dinner that evening, so come early if you can We will be going dark on March 27 and visiting Madisonville Madeira for their inspection. We are following this with a family night out on Saturday, March 29th. We will be getting together for dinner at Ryan's Steakhouse at the Batavia exit off 275. You will go outside the loop and turn left at the first light. The restaurant is behind Pep Boys, and their phone number (in case) is 752-2616. We will meet there at 6:00 p.m. This is a chance for us to include our wives and children and spend some quality time with our lodge family. Ryan's also has a buffet, so there should be a wide selection at a reasonable price. We are hoping to have a couple more family events during the year, and we are presently considering trips to the aquarium or to the zoo. There is nothing firm on those two fronts, but I will keep you informed. Our Senior Steward, Brother Robert Campbell, gave the Fellowcraft charge for the first time two weeks ago and again last week. Brother Campbell did an excellent job with the charge, and we are extremely proud of him as he progresses in the work. We soon will be assembling a Fellowcraft team for our upcoming Master Mason degrees. WB Skinner and WB McLemore will be heading this up and making calls. If you can, we certainly can use your help on the team. If not, please consider visiting us when Bros Bogard and Baer are raised. It is a tremendous and memorable evening for any man. Let's help make it so for our soon-to-be Master Masons. We do have late breaking news. On June 5th, Peter Bronson will be visiting and speaking to us at the lodge. Peter is a columnist with the Cincinnati Enquirer, and he is well-known for addressing controversial issues. I have heard Peter speak several times, and I assure he is informed, challenging and very entertaining. Please pencil this event in your calendar. (use ink) You will not be disappointed. This will be OPEN to all. Until next month, my brother. " And someday, many years from now, my brethren, may we look back and say: it is one of my fondest memories."And may God bless, Steven D.
