Brother, We had our inspection in the EA degree on April 24th. It was wonderful to have so many visitors to observe and support Linwood as well as RWB Gary C. Cox in his final inspection. Many thanks to Bro Mike Stapleton and our friends at Gerard Lodge for the meal and all their help that evening: we had barbecue pork and chicken, as well as generous quantities of Bro Stapleton's secret "Kentucky" sauce. Brother, if you were able to come out: thank you. If you were unable, you have reason to be proud of your lodge and your officers. We now have a nice stretch coming up. Bro David Bogard will receive his Master Mason degree on May 22nd, and Bro Bill Mulvaney will receive his Master Mason the following week on May 29th. On June 5th Peter Bronson will be visiting the lodge and speaking. The following week - June 12th - we will have a Fellow Craft degree for Bro David Caldwell. As always we can use your support on the sideline. We will be redoing the back steps again this summer. You may recall that we did the steps a few years ago, but they have rusted again. We are having someone sandblast and paint; hopefully we will have better wear this time around. On a related point we have scheduled a fundraiser for the lodge: we will be working July 4th at Crosley Field in Blue Ash. We will be working a 4-man booth serving pop from 3 to 11 pm. Hopefully this fundraiser will pay for the repairs to the steps. We are also planning a garage sale this summer. We have several items in the basement right now that could be sold. Please keep the lodge in mind as you do your spring-cleaning. If you will be donating or throwing items away, please let me know. We'll work with you on getting them down to the lodge for the garage sale. On a specific note to a brother long unseen: may the Divine Architect spread your path with flowers and table with plenty.
