| My
Brother, Greetings! I hope your summer was fun and restful. We are preparing to resume our Masonic business. We will resume our regular meetings on September 18, at 7:30pm, as we assemble for our usual monthly Stated meeting. We will set out trestleboard for the rest of the month and begin planning for the rest of the year, at least until November when we will elect new officers. So come on out, we will have plenty of opportunities to gather in friendship and enjoy Freemasonry as we always do. But my brother as we celebrate the start of the rest of our year, we also are filled with saddness as we mourn the loss of two of our number. This last month we have lost two fine members that between them represented over 120 years of membership in Linwood Lodge and Freemasonry. Brothers Jack Parks and Joe Cantwell were called to their eternal rest. WE will miss them. Brother Parks was living in Texas, and Brother Cantwell resided here in Cincinnati and was a regular attendee at lodge. Joe was our Ship's Captain and a very good friend to me and to many of our members. His passing will leave us with a certain emptiness at lodge. I do know that these two gentlemen would want us continue on with our work, doing the best we can. They were proud members of Linwood Lodge. Proud of the fact that our Lodge was considered one of the best, and that our work good work, square work. Work we have continued with the excellence they knew those sixty years ago when they entered the Fraternity. So we will get on with our work and keep them in our hearts and memories while bidding them a fond farewell. Our summer break over, please make note of our Stated Meeting
on SEPTEMBER 18, at 7:30pm And may God bless, Steven D.
