From the East... A Message from the Master of Linwood Lodge |
| My Brother, Greetings. I hope this finds you well. Our inspection is now history. While I was not able to attend I was there in spirit. I spoke to several of the Past masters and they said the night was a very successful one! I was told that everyone did a very good job. As Master of Linwood that is something you really enjoy hearing... how well the lodge inspection went. I am very proud of the way the officers stepped up, studied hard and did their jobs really well. I am proud of you all. Also sorry I could not be there to see it all.We were 22 members short of our goal of 50. I was sorry to hear that. I was truly hoping the membership would also step up. We really need to have better participation, at least for special events such as this. Which brings me to my next request. We have a new candidate coming through on May 5th. An Entered Apprentice degree. I would like the members of Linwood Lodge to consider this a SPECIAL EVENT! I would like to see us have 50 members present at this degree to welcome our new member and Brother, Tom Perkins, into Linwood Lodge. Let us show him that he is becoming a member of a great lodge. One where the members are PROUD to hold membership in! Let’s impress him as we were impressed when each of us came into this great Lodge. Those of you that could not make it to inspection can come this night and show me that you still care AND support your Lodge and welcome a new brother. I would especially like to see all of you that came through a one day class come out and join us up close and personal for an Entered Apprentice Degree. My Brother if we can make this happen you will have been a part of something special. I implore you to make it happen. Something else I need to bring to your attention. On Saturday April 2nd at the Society of Past Masters Annual Spring Banquet, Worshipful Brother Ralph McLemore was named Most Distinguished Past Master. Quite an Honor. The Society chooses the Honoree from a list of nominees of outstanding past masters from each lodge in the District and selects one based upon their dedication to their lodge. Congrats Ralph, Congrats!
