It has been a very busy time at Linwood Lodge since the last time that I wrote you, memories were made that will not be soon forgotten and I hope that you were one of the brethren who were able to add to the moment in time where the brethren dwelt together in unity and came together as a TEAM to produce wonderful, lasting memories for all in attendance. Of course, I am speaking of Linwood Lodges 2006 annual inspection where we initiated into Masonry, Brother Tim, an insurance agent from Batavia. If you see or talk to him please congratulate him on his wise choice to become a Mason.

     We were honored by the presence of RWB Mike Himes, Deputy Grand Master (which means he will be the Grand Master next year).

     Now, I have been brought up in the excellence of Linwood Lodge tradition. I have witnessed the great work of the Masters that I have served under. Heard the stories of the Masters before my time, so I knew the large shoes that my officers and myself had to fill, and the presence of RWB Himes added a fear factor. I know a lot of you guys are laughing and I don't blame you, but if you can remember the time that you stood your proficiency... you can relate because you have been there!

     As the evening progressed I think we all knew that this was a special night and when the work was finished and RWB Martinek, our inspecting officer, made his wonderful comments about the degree, I think everybody in the lodge knew that Linwood tradition had been upheld. But when next years Grand Master (RWB Himes) stood and proclaimed that it was the best work that he had heard in the state of Ohio. Well, I about fell out of my chair! That comment was special for me as it should be for you also, knowing that the excellence of our tradition still continues.

     Two days later our officers were further honored by being offered an all accommodation taken care of trip to Connecticut to perform our ritual work on the road.

     I am humbled and give all the glory to God for these recent state of events.

     I urge you to stop by and witness the work of these fine officers as they get ready to take it on the road and represent little Linwood Lodge in one of our founding states.
